Loaded Field Awaits Men’s Golf at Linger Longer

TROY, Alabama – The Troy men's golf team heads to Greensboro, Ga., and the Great Waters Golf Club for the Linger Longer Invitational which features 10 teams ranked in the top 75 nationally, including three in the top 20. Teams will play 18 holes each day on Sunday through Tuesday.
Troy enters the event ranked 67th nationally in the latest Golfstat rankings; last season the final at-large berth into the NCAA field went to the 64th-ranked team. The Trojans are coming off a second-place finish at Auburn's Tiger Invitational and a fifth-place finish at Florida State's Seminole Intercollegiate.
The Trojans enter the Linger Longer playing some of their best golf of the year. As a team, Troy is averaging -5.2 strokes vs. par over its last five rounds, while Clayton Vannoy shot a 9-under 207 and Jared Bettcher fried a 6-under 210 at the Seminole Intercollegiate. Cam Norman has played six of his last seven rounds at or under par with five of those rounds in the red.
Luke Moser has played three of his last six rounds within a stroke of par, while Calum Masters has played five of his last six rounds within two strokes of par.
