Men’s Golf Finishes Fifth at Seminole Intercollegiate

Final Results
TALLAHASSEE, Florida – Clayton Vannoy fired a 6-under-par 66 to lead the Troy men's golf team on the final day of the Seminole Intercollegiate at the Southwood Golf Course. Vannoy finished in a tie for fifth individually, while the Trojans placed fifth as a team.
Vannoy carded eight birdies on the day and finished the weekend with a 9-under par 207, which is Troy's best 54-hole score of the season and Vannoy's best finish by seven shots. Jared Bettcher shot 1-over on the day and tied for 14th place overall at 6-under for the tournament.
Troy knocked off No. 31 Jacksonville by three shots in the event; Troy entered the weekend ranked No. 68 in the latest Golfstat rankings – the 64th spot earned the final at-large bid last year.
Cam Norman tied for 27th place overall after shooting 5-over on the day and 2-under for the tournament, while Calum Masters tied for 58th place overall and Luke Moser tied for 63rd. Playing as an individual, Jake Tiffin tied for 54th place.
Troy will not have much time off as it travels to Greensboro, Ga., next weekend for the Linger Longer.
