Men’s Golf Goes Low on Day Two of Seminole Intercollegiate

TALLAHASSEE, Florida – Four Trojans shot under par and Troy posted the lowest round of the day with a 12-under 276 in Saturday's second round of the Seminole Intercollegiate at the Southwood Golf Club. The Trojans climbed five spots on the leaderboard into fourth place.
Troy's 12-under as a team was its best round of the season and tied for the third lowest in school history. Cam Norman dropped eight birdies on the day as he shot a career-best 6-under 66; the fifth lowest in school history.
Norman is tied with Jared Bettcher for third place overall; Bettcher fired a 2-under 70 in the second round after shooting 5-under in the opening round. Clayton Vannoy jumped 21 spots on the individual leaderboard into a tie for 19 place after carding five birdies en route to a 3-under 69.
Luke Moser also made a charge up the standings as he jumped 17 spots into a tie for 57th following a 1-under 71, while Calum Masters shot a 2-over 74 and is tied for 63rd. Playing as an individual, Jake Tiffin is tied for 41st after shooting 2-over on the day.
Penn State will carry a two-shot lead over No. 30 Florida State and a six-shot lead over No. 25 Georgia Tech into the final round; Troy is just five back of Georgia Tech.
The Trojans will be paired with Jacksonville and West Virginia for Sunday's final round; the teams will hit the course beginning at 7:55 a.m. (CDT) and will begin on the first hole.
