Men’s Golf Finishes Strong at The Gator

Final Results
GAINESVILLE, Florida – The Troy men's golf team fired the sixth-best round of the day, a four-over 284, and the Trojans finished in 15th place following Sunday's final round of the Gator Invitational at the Mark Bostick Golf Course.
Cam Norman led the way in the final round as he sank three birdies en route to a 1-under 69 on the par-70 course. Norman climbed 12 spots into a tie for 53rd place overall, while Luke Moser jumped six spots into a tie for 39th place after shooting a 1-over 71 in the final round.
No. 29 Arkansas won the team title among the field of 15 teams which featured nine top-50 teams and 13 top-75 teams in the latest Golfstat national rankings. Arkansas' Charles Kim claimed individual medalist honors with a 6-under 204.
Jared Bettcher added three birdies to Troy's final round tally and he finished 65th overall after shooting 1-over on the day. Clayton Vannoy and Calum Masters tied for 74th place as both had two birdies and shot a 3-over 73 in the final round.
The Trojans will be back in action March 5-7 at the Tiger Invitational hosted by Auburn at the Grand National Lakes Course. Troy erased a two-shot deficit in the final round of last year's Tiger Invitational to stun No. 5 Auburn and claim the team title.
