Men’s Golf Opens Spring Play at The Gator

GAINESVILLE, Florida – The Troy men's golf team opened its spring season with 36 holes on the opening day of the Gator Invitational at the Mark Bostick Golf Course. The Trojans are tied for 15th place in a field that features nine top-50 teams and 13 top-75 teams in the latest Golfstat national rankings.
Luke Moser led the Trojans in both rounds as he carded a 4-over 74 on both his trips through the golf course. He had one birdie in his first round and three in the second round; Moser will enter Sunday's final round tied for 45th place.
Cam Norman also shot matching rounds with a 6-over 76 in both of Saturday's round on the par-70 course. He finished the day with a team-high six birdies and is tied for 65th place. Jared Bettcher finished the day 13-over par and tied for 71st place, while Clayton Vannoy and Calum Masters are tied for 76th at 16-over.
No. 29 Arkansas will carry a five-shot lead over No. 35 Missouri and a seven-shot lead over No. 2 Florida into the final round.
Troy will be paired with UAB and College of Charleston for Sunday's final round; the grouping will tee off on No. 10 beginning at 8:30 a.m.
