DOTHAN, Ala. – Troy men's basketball announced that the team will play in Dothan at the Dothan Civic Center for the fourth consecutive season with a matchup against Milligan College on Dec. 21 at 6 p.m.
Â
"We're excited to be playing in Dothan at the Civic Center for the fourth year in a row," head coach Phil Cunningham said. "The Wiregrass region is home to a lot of Trojan alumni and fans and it's a great chance for them to come out and see our team.
Â
"Our guys look forward to this game every season as it has become a Christmas tradition for us."
Â
The Trojans have gone a perfect 3-0 since the inception of playing in Dothan highlighted by an explosive 114-52 victory last season over Point University when Troy shot 58.3 percent from the field.
Â
Both the Troy cheerleading squad as well as the pep band will accompany fans in attendance. Reserved seat tickets in the Risers are $15 for adults, and $7 for students of Troy University as well as youth age 17 and younger.
Â
Reserved seat tickets will be $10 for adults and $7 for students and youth while general admissions tickets are $5. Tickets can be purchased by visiting the box office from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. from Monday to Friday or by calling (334) 615-3175.
Â
Troy is off to a 5-5 start so far this season with a 3-1 home record and a key road victory against ETSU. The Trojans have had to play the past four games without Preseason All-Sun Belt first teamer Jordon Varnado, who has been dealing with a foot injury.
Â
While the Milligan game closes out non-conference play, Troy will first have to face Arkansas on Saturday in North Little Rock, Ark. followed by a road game against Austin Peay on Dec. 19.
