Women’s Tennis Heads to FSU All-Conference Showdown

TROY, Alabama- After a week off, women's tennis is back on the road to continue fall tournament play. The Trojans will travel to Tallahassee, Fla., to compete in the FSU All-Conference Showdown November 10-12 at the Scott Speicher Tennis Center.
Representing the Trojans will be seniors Sanae Ohta, Efriliya Herlina, and Nancy Karaky, junior Hannah Seizer, and freshmen Maria Casas Blas and Matea Mihaljevic.
The competition will start on Friday with two rounds of doubles followed by a round of singles. On the doubles courts, Ohta and Karaky will take on a pair from West Virginia in the Garnet Draw. Seizer and Herlina will face a duo from Middle Tennessee and newcomers Casas Blas and Mihaljevic will take on another West Virginia pair in the Speart Draw.
In singles play, Ohta will face Silvia Bordes of UCF, Seizer will play Monica Malinen of West Virginia, Herlina will take on an opponent from ETSU, and Karaky will face Andrea Garcia of host team Florida State. Casas Blas earned an automatic first round bye, and will play an opponent from West Virginia in the quarterfinals. Mihaljevic will wrap up day one against Kristen White of West Virgina.
Herlina enters the weekend with a singles record of 11-3, while doubles partners Ohta and Karaky have posted a 7-4 record on the court this season.
