Troy Concludes Season At NCAA South Regionals

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Troy men's cross country concluded a successful 2017 season on Friday with a 21st place finish at the NCAA South Regionals.
The Trojans were pitted against the top teams across the southeast in the qualifying meet for the NCAA Championships. Troy had an overall time of 2:49:55.7 and an average time of 33:59.14 in the 10k event.
Middle Tennessee State was the winner of the meet with an overall time of 2:34:46.7 and an average time of 30:57:28.0. Following behind them in order was Ole Miss, Alabama, Florida State and Tennessee.
Brackin Stewart was the top finisher on the afternoon with a 73rd place finish with a time of 32:53.3. He was joined in the top-100 by Brennan Garriques, who came in 96th with a time of 33:20.1.
Bradley Dixon was just out the top-100 with a 106th place finish at a time of 33:35.2. Sawyer Sprung finished in 134th at 34:34.9 and Daniel Glick rounded out the group with 152nd place finish at 35:32.4.
Troy will return the entire roster as there was not a senior on the team. The Trojans came in second place in three regular season meets and finished in sixth place at the Sun Belt Championships.
