SUN BELT RELEASE | CHAMPIONSHIP CENTRAL
TROY, Alabama – Senior Haley Roberson and sophomore Julia Winter have been named Second Team All-Sun Belt as voted by the league's coaches, the conference office announced on Tuesday.
Â
Roberson has played in every game since arriving to Troy from Auburn in 2015. The Burke, Va., native has accumulated 11 assists and led the team to 24 shutouts over the last three seasons. She becomes the first three-time all-conference selection in the program's history. Roberson graduated this past December with a degree in broadcast journalism and a minor in public relations. She is currently finishing her Master's in strategic communications.
Â
Winter is tied for second in the Sun Belt with nine goals, six coming in league play. Winter was clutch for the Trojans down the stretch scoring five times to go with two assists over the last two contests of the year. Despite being the shortest player on the team at 5-1, Winter has scored five of her team-leading nine goals with her head.
Â
15 Trojans have been named to All-Sun Belt teams since 2014.

Third-seeded Troy (8-9-2) takes on No. 6 Georgia Southern (7-8-2) in the opening round of the Sun belt Conference Tournament on Wednesday at 7 p.m. For more information on the tournament, visit TroyTrojans.com or SunBeltSports.org.
