Troy Third, Harrison Sixth After Two Rounds of Idle Hour

MACON, Georgia – Troy battled frigid conditions and a frost delay to sit in third place following the opening 36 holes of the Idle Hour Collegiate Championship at the Idle Hour Golf and Country Club on Monday. Sarah Harries is in sixth place overall at 4-over following a second-round 71.
With temperatures in the 40s and a howling wind following a long frost delay, scores were high across the board in the opening round; Troy shot 25-over in the first round and rebounded as temperatures warmed up to shoot 20-over in the second round.
Harrison carded four birdies on the day – two in each round – and played a clean second round with just one bogey for her second round under par this season. She is just five shots behind Eastern Kentucky's Hannabeth Owens for individual medalist honors.
Bianca Lohbauer carded a birdie in each of her rounds on Monday and is tied for 21st place overall at 12-over. She opened the day with a 7-over 79 and followed with a 5-over 77 in the afternoon session. Eva Fabricius-Bjerre is close behind at 14-over in a tie for 30th, while Lindsey Harrison is tied for 37th at 15-over -- Fabricius-Bjerre had a pair of birdies in each of her rounds and Harrison had two in the first and one in the second.
Playing as an individual, Abby Parks is tied for 57th place at 22-over with one birdie on the day, while Antonia Poate is tied for 63rd place at 23-over with four birdies over the two rounds.
Western Kentucky and host Mercer are tied for the team lead at 27-over par, 18 shots ahead of Troy. The Trojans are one shot better than Rutgers and two shots ahead of Eastern Kentucky heading into Tuesday's final round.
It will be Troy, Western Kentucky and Mercer as the lead grouping for the shotgun start at 7:45 a.m. (CT) Tuesday.
