Herlina and Karaky Advance at ITA Regionals

AUBURN, Alabama- Seniors Efriliya Herlina and Nancy Karaky each won both of their matches in Saturday's consolation draw at the ITA Southern Regionals hosted by Auburn.
Karaky got things started early with a 6-3, 6-4 win over Southern Miss's Elena Roca and advanced to the semifinals as her quarterfinal opponent retired with an injury.
Herlina also won her round of 16 match after falling 6-7 in the first set, she bounced back to take the next two sets 6-3, 10-8 to clinch her spot in the quarterfinals. A two set 6-4, 6-2 win in the quarterfinals earned her a spot in the semifinals on Sunday.
On the doubles courts, Sanae Ohta and Karaky continued to play well in the colsolation draw defeating a duo from ULL 8-2 and will face Louisiana Tech. tomorrow at 8 a.m. to look for a spot in the finals.
