Women's Tennis Completes Day One of ITA Regional
AUBURN, Alabama – Three senior Trojans, Efriliyah Herlina, Sanae Ohta, and Nancy Karaky traveled to Auburn to compete in the ITA Southern Regional on Friday.
In singles, Karaky dropped her main draw match, 6-2, 6-3, but bounced back to win her consolation match 7-6, 6-0. Ohta fell to an opponent from Ole Miss 7-5, 6-2, and had to retire her consolation match later in the afternoon. Herlina faced Caroline Turner from Auburn and dropped 6-1, 6-4, but picked up a 6-3, 6-4 win in the consolation bracket.
On the doubles court, All-Sun Belt Doubles First Team duo Ohta and Karaky fell to a pair from SEC's LSU in a hard-fought 8-6 match.
Troy will continue play in the consolation brackets tomorrow beginning at noon.
