Troy Women’s Tennis Earns ITA Academic Honors

TROY, Alabama –Troy University women's tennis was honored by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) as an All-Academic Team for the 2015-16 season. The Trojans also had five athletes selected as Scholar-Athletes.
Senior Alicia Rodriguez, as well as juniors Nancy Karaky and Jiayuan Xue were recognized for their performance in the classroom. Former Trojans Anja Cosovic and Tereza Melicharkova were also named as scholar-athletes.
The ITA All-Academic Team award is presented to any ITA program that has a cumulative team grade point average of 3.20 or above (on a 4.00 scale).
To earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status, a player must be a varsity letter winner and have a grade point average of at least 3.50 for the current academic year and must be enrolled for at least two semesters.
