Troy Soccer Releases Spring Schedule

TROY, Alabama – The Troy soccer team has released its 2016 spring schedule, highlighted by a home match against Alabama on April 8th, head coach Jason Hamilton announced on Friday.
"We are excited about this spring, 15 of the 20 players we have here now are in their freshman year so this whole thing is new to them," Hamilton said. "The spring is meant for developing each individual player and with so many freshman the experience and opportunities they each will get to grow as a player will be very valuable for next season. We try to emphasize development over winning in the spring, we want to give every player a chance to prove themselves as well get a more time on the filed at this level then some may have seen in the fall."
The Trojans start off the spring traveling to Jacksonville State on Feb. 27th and begin . Troy begins the home stand with Alabama coming to the Troy Soccer Complex on April 8th and host West Florida on April 9th. The Trojans travel to Mercer to end the spring schedule.
