Men’s Golf Ties for Eighth at East Bay Classic

Final Results
KIAWAH ISLAND, South Carolina – Cam Norman fired a 2-under 70 to lead Troy in Tuesday's final round of the East Bay Classic at the Turtle Point Golf Course; Troy finished in a tie for eighth place in its final tournament of the fall.
Norman opened the day on No. 6 and immediately went into the red with a birdie on his first hole. After a pair of bogeys pushed him to 1-over, Norman finished his round with three birdies over his final four holes to close the day at 2-under, which led to a 49-spot move up the leaderboard into a tie for 36th place.
Jared Bettcher tied for 15th place to lead the Trojans at 3-over for the event. He opened the day in a tie for sixth but shot 5-over on the day with a quad and a bogey with 16 pars. Luke Moser finished in a tie for 44th place after shooting 8-over on the day and 11-over for the week.
Clayton Vannoy rounded out his week with a 7-over 79 and he finished in a tie for 48th, while Calum Masters tied for 77th after closing out the week with a 6-over 78. Sam Prater played as an individual and tied for 108th.
Troy will take the winter off before returning to action at the Gator Invitational on Feb. 18-19.
