Women’s Golf Set for Johnie Imes Invitational

TROY, Alabama – After a solid opening performance two weeks ago at Vanderbilt, the Troy women's golf team returns to action Monday and Tuesday at the Johnie Imes Invitational hosted by Missouri at The Club at Old Hawthorne. The 15-team field will play two rounds on Monday before closing out the tournament with 18 holes on Tuesday.
The Trojans picked up victories over a pair of top-50 teams – Michigan State and Middle Tennessee – at the Mason Rudolph Championship to open the season. Seniors Fátima Fernández Cano and Gabi Oubre' led the way for Troy in the event finishing tied for 12th and 37th respectively.
Troy's third senior, Becca Horner, also started strong as she carded the Trojans' only round under par in the event with a 1-under 71 and all three of her rounds counted towards the team card. Sophomores Bianca Lohbauer and Lindsey Harrison will join Cano, Oubre' and Horner to fill out Troy's lineup at the John Imes Invitational.

Joining Troy at the Johnie Imes Invitational will be Akron, Little Rock, East Tennessee State, Florida Gulf Coast, FIU, Fresno State, Kennesaw State, Long Beach State, Memphis, Mercer, Missouri, Northern Illinois, North Texas and Rutgers.
