Jaevyn Wortham Set to Compete at USA Track and Field Junior Nationals

EUGENE, Oregon – Troy track and field freshman thrower Jaevyn Wortham wraps up the Trojans' 2015 season at the USA Track and Field Junior Nationals at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday at Hayward Field.

The Harrison Township, Mich., native will compete amongst a field of 16 competitors for the prelims. The top-8 finishers will then compete in the finals. Wortham will be competing against top talent across the nation.

The conferences represented include the Sun Belt, represented by Wortham, the SEC, ACC, Big Ten, Ivy League, Mountain West and Big Sky.

The highest mark of Wortham's career is 47.70-meters, which she earned at the 2015 Sun Belt Conference Championship.
