No. 35 Troy Finishes 12th at Seminole Intercollegiate

TALLAHASSEE, Florida – The No. 35 Troy men's golf team finished the Seminole Intercollegiate in 12th place after shooting a 2-over 290 in Sunday's final round at the Southwood Golf Club.
Clayton Vannoy led the Trojans as he finished in a tie for 18th place, despite playing as an individual. Vannoy had the low card of the day, and the tournament, for the Trojans as he shot a 4-under 68 in the final round after he sank six birdies on the day.
Jake Tucker shot under par for the second time of the weekend as he turned a pair of birdies and an eagle into a round of 1-under. Tucker shot 1-under over the course of the tournament and finished tied for 28th place.
No. 1 Florida State rallied up the leaderboard to claim the team title after shooting 17-under par in the final round.
Phillip Brennan also turned in a card in the 60s for the final round as he dropped in a pair of birdies on both sides of the course to finish with a 3-under 69. His round pushed him up the leaderboard into a tie for 34th place.
Jared Bettcher and Luke Moser tied for 48th place after shooting a 4-over 76 and 2-over 74 on Sunday, respectively. Moser had a pair of birdies on the day while Bettcher had one birdie. Tolver Dozier rounded out the field for the Trojans tied for 72nd after shooting a 76 in the final round.
The Trojans will take 12 days off before returning to the course for the Furman Intercollegiate March 27-29 in Greenville, S.C.
