Troy Hosting First Play 4Kay Game on Saturday

TROY, Ala. – The Troy women's basketball team will host a pair of Play 4Kay games this season with the first coming on Saturday when UL Lafayette visits Trojan Arena at 2 p.m. Fans are encouraged to wear pink to the game as the Trojans look to raise awareness for breast cancer.
The Trojans will wear pink uniforms to commemorate the occasion. Troy will wear the uniforms on Saturday and next Saturday, February 21, when UALR visits Trojan Arena. The Trojans will auction off an autographed jersey during the games.
The team will also be selling pink T-shirts at the game and throughout the week for $10. To purchase a T-shirt before game day, fans can call associate head coach Jennifer Graf at (334) 670-5718.
Fans making any kind of donation at the door will receive breast cancer awareness pens and bracelets. All proceeds will go to the Kay Yow Cancer Fund.

Since its inception in 2007, the Play 4Kay initiative has raised over $3.9 million to support women's cancer research. The Kay Yow Cancer Fund is the official charity of the initiative. The Kay Yow Cancer Fund, in partnership with the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) and The V Foundation, charitable organization committed to being a part of finding an answer in the fight against women's cancers through raising money for scientific research, assisting the underserved and unifying people for a common cause.
Prior to Saturday's game against UL Lafayette, Troy will host rival South Alabama on Thursday at 5:15 p.m. at Trojan Arena.
