Game Times Set for Sun Belt Conference Soccer Tournament

TROY, Alabama – Although Troy soccer's opponent for the Sun Belt Conference Tournament won't be known until Wednesday evening, the No. 2 seed Trojans will begin play in Atlanta on Wednesday, November 4, at 3 p.m. CT.

The Trojans (13-4-1, 6-2-1 Sun Belt) finished second in the Sun Belt for the second consecutive season, which matches the highest conference finish in program history. The 6-2-1 Sun Belt record matches the highest conference win percentage in school history.

The Trojan defense is on pace to set the single-season records for the lowest goals allowed, lowest goals against average, highest save percentage and fewest losses.

Troy's opponent has yet to be determined as the outcome of Wednesday's makeup match between ULM and UL Lafayette could affect the seeding for both Georgia Southern and UL Lafayette. If the Ragin' Cajuns defeat the Warhawks on Wednesday then the Cajuns will earn the tournament's No. 7 seed while the Eagles of Georgia Southern would then become the No. 8 seed. The Cajuns defeated the Eagles earlier this season and therefore own the head-to-head tiebreaker over the Eagles.

However, if ULM defeats UL Lafayette, then Georgia Southern would be the No. 7 seed and UL Lafayette the No. 8 seed by virtue of the Eagles finishing the regular season with more points (10) than the Cajuns. A tie would also give the Eagles the No. 7 seed as the Cajuns would have finished the regular season with eight points.
