Troy Soccer Hosts Arkansas State and Little Rock to Close Out Regular Season

TROY, Alabama – The Troy soccer team will host Arkansas State on Friday at 7 p.m. and Little Rock on Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Troy Soccer Complex to close out the regular season.

Sunday's game will honor six seniors prior to kickoff. The 2015 senior class is the winningest class in program history.

Troy (12-4, 5-2 Sun Belt) has won six out of its last seven matches, but dropped a heartbreaker last weekend in double overtime at Georgia State, 2-1. However, the Trojans have clinched a spot in the Sun Belt Conference Tournament in Atlanta in November.

Senior Chelsey Williams leads the Trojans with 17 points, six goals and five assists. Alissa Jones, another senior, comes in with 16 points, six goals and four assists. The Trojan offense has outscored its opponents 29-11 and outshot them 231-151 for the year.

Mikki Lewis leads the Trojan defense, which has only allowed 11 goals this season and 151 shots. Lewis leads the Sun Belt with seven shutouts this season and has the highest save percentage in the Sun Belt against conference opponents, which is .892.

Arkansas State (3-12-1, 1-5-1 Sun Belt) only has one Sun Belt victory against ULM. The Red Wolves defeated the Warhawks 2-0 on October 11. Jordan Adams leads Arkansas State with 10 points, four goals and two assists.

Little Rock (8-5-4, 3-1-3 Sun Belt) currently sits at fourth place in the conference standings and hasn't lost since September 25 at Texas State. The Trojans have three wins and three ties in their last six matches played.
