Men's Tennis Cruises in Sun Belt Opener

ARLINGTON, Texas – The Troy men's tennis team cruises to a 4-0 victory over UT Arlington on Sunday in its first Sun Belt Conference match of the season.
Troy (3-3) opened the day with wins at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles and seamed poised to avenge a loss to UT Arlington in last year's Sun Belt Championships. Already with a 1-0 lead, the Trojans cruised to wins at No.2, No. 5 and No.6 singles to clinch the shutout.
Hassan Ndayishimye won in straight sets at No. 2, 6-1, 6-1, over Daniel Armengol. Giovani Samaha won for the Trojans at No. 5 singles, defeating Daniel Echeverry, 6-3, 6-2. Pablo Moreno won Troy's final singles match, beating Mario Muniesa at No.6 singles, 6-3, 6-2.
When the match was halted, Troy had won the first set in two of the three matches that were still being played. Complete results are below.
The Trojans return to the court on the Saturday when they travel to Georgia State for a second straight Sun Belt match.
