Troy (8-5, 3-1) enters Thursday's game on a three-game winning streak after a 96-87 win at Georgia State on Saturday. Troy, who last won three straight in 2009-10, is now 3-1 in Sun Belt play for the first time in program history. Troy has also won three straight road games, dating back to a non-conference win at Tennessee State.
          Â
In the shootout win over GSU, Troy made 11 3-pointers and held the Panthers scoreless over the final 3:22. Troy led by one at that point, but used an 8-0 run to pull away in game that featured 17 lead changes and 10 ties.
          Â
Kourtney Coleman led the Trojans with a career-high-tying 27 points, including a career-high six 3-pointers. Coleman made all six of those 3-pointers in the first 12 minutes when she scored 24 of her 27 points. Coleman became the fifth Trojan to score 20 points in a game this season.
          Â
Five Trojans scored in double figures, including Ashley Beverly-Kelley who is Troy's leading scorer this season at 14.6 points per game, ranking fifth in the Sun Belt. Beverly-Kelley is also averaging 3.1 assists and 2.3 steals per game this year, both ranking in the league's top 10.
          Â
Ronita Garrett posted a double-double against GSU with 18 points and 15 rebounds, marking her eighth double-double of the season which is tied for the most in the Sun Belt. Garrett is averaging 13.4 points and 10.2 rebounds per game, ranking eighth and second in the Sun Belt, respectively.
          Â
Troy leads the Sun Belt in scoring at 73.5 points per game this season, but in Sun Belt play its defense has been key. In conference games, Troy ranks second in field goal percentage defense (35.7), first in blocks (5.5) and first in rebounds (43.5).
          Â
ULM (5-8, 1-3) is coming off of a tough, 70-64, loss at Texas State on Saturday. The game was tied, 64-64, with 45 seconds remaining and featured 20 lead changes. The Warhawks lone conference win came at UT Arlington.
ULM has played just one Sun Belt home game, falling to Arkansas State, 77-57. The Warhawks are 4-1 at Fant-Ewing Coliseum this season, however, three of the four wins are over non-Division I teams.
Â
The Warhawks are under first-year head coach Jeff Dow and led in scoring by 6-foot-2 senior Sharnice Brooks who averages 12.8 points per game.
Â
ULM leads the all-time series against Troy, 13-3, including a 6-2 mark in Monroe. The Warhawks have won seven straight meetings and Troy hasn't defeated ULM since 2009-10. ULM won both of last season's meetings, including a very close 91-87 decision at Fant-Ewing Coliseum in early March.
