The Troy women's basketball team is in Italy until August 9 as the Trojans tour the country and play two games on their eight-day trip. The Trojans departed on August 1 and you can follow all of their travels via Twitter and Instagram using #TrojansInItaly.
While in Italy, the Trojans will visit Rome, Pisa, Florence and Venice. The Trojans will play games on August 6 and August 8. Below are Twitter and Instagram timelines to help you follow the action.

Update No.1 (August 1 - August 4)
The Trojans have completed the first three days of their trip, spending the majority of that time in Rome. After arriving on Saturday, August 2, Troy drove around the city before walking through the Roman Forum and Colosseum. The Trojans took part in an Amazing Race style walking tour of Rome on Sunday, allowing the players to see the capital city's most historic and famous sites. Throughout the first two days, Troy enjoyed the country's famous cuisine from a few local restaurants.
Monday started with the team touring Vatican City and the Vatican Museum. The tour allowed the players to visit the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Basilica. Following the tour, the team made a four hour bus ride to Montecatini Terme in the Tuscany region on Italy. A city of about 20,000 people, Montecatini Terme is just over 30 miles from Florence. Following dinner, the Trojans visited the Leonardo da Vinci Sport Center where the players and coaches hosted a kid's basketball clinic for nearly 40 local children.
Update No.2 (August 5 - August 6) Game Recap | Box Score
The Trojans made the short drive from Montecatini Terme to Florence on Tuesday. Stop one in Florence was the Galleria dell'Accademia where's Michelangelo's famous David sculpture is housed. Following a short tour to some other historic sites in Florence, including the Basilica of Saint Mary of the Flower, the Trojans took advantage of some free time through Florence's markets. Tuesday night inlcuded a cable car ride to Montecatini Alto for breathtaking views and yet another wonderful Italian dinner.
On Wednesday, the Trojans made the one hour drive to Pisa and visited the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa. The afternoon was slow as the Trojans prepared for their first game, to take place on Wednesday night against the Italy All-Stars in Pontebuggianese. The Trojans won the game, 81-75. The Trojans left Montecatini for Venice on Thursday, about a four-hour drive. The Trojans toured Venice throughout the day, spending part of the day on a guided tour and most of it with free time. Part of the guided tour allowed the Trojans to see the Vecchia Murano Glass Factory. The Trojans enjoyed the necessary boat ride into Venice islands on two separate small water taxis. The Trojans had their own private larger taxi to take them back to the mainland on Thursday night. Troy then traveled to Treviso where they would spend their final two nights in Italy
Friday morning was full of relaxation for the Trojans as they prepared for Friday night's game. The game was played inside the 7,000-seat PalaTrieste in Trieste, Italy, a border town. The Trojans defeated ASD Societa Ginnastica, 79-70 For more on the game, CLICK HERE.
