Troy Soccer to Play Pair of Exhibition Games Saturday

TROY, Ala. – The Troy University women's soccer team will host a pair of exhibition games on Saturday at the Troy Soccer Complex. The Trojans will play Jacksonville State at 10:30 a.m. and AUM at 1:30 p.m. Admission to the event is FREE.
Under first year head coach Jason Hamilton, the team has already defeated Alabama State, 3-1, and played North Alabama to a 1-1 draw in the exhibition season. On April 6, Troy will travel to Montgomery to face Faulkner before hitting the road on April 12 to play Mercer and Georgia State in Macon, Ga.
Troy returns several key components from last year's team that finished 8-10-1 overall and 4-3-1 in Sun Belt Conference play. Sophomore midfielder Necee Jennings is back after leading the team with seven goals. Jasmine Fahrnbauer, who led the Trojans with four assists, also returns for her junior season.
The Trojans will kick off the 2014 regular season in late August.
