Troy Soccer Signs Seven on National Signing Day

TROY, Ala. – Troy University soccer head coach Jason Hamilton announced on Wednesday his first signing class as seven student-athletes signed a National Letter of Intent.

The signing class features players from five different states. The Trojans signed three midfielders, two forwards and two goalkeepers.

Troy has started training and will open the 2014 season in August. The team finished 8-10-1 last season including a 4-3-1 mark in Sun Belt Conference play.

"I think this class adds to our overall athleticism. We have three or four offensive-minded players to help with the attack going forward, then a trio of goalkeepers that can help add depth to that position," Hamilton said. "It's always good to have players come in and challenge the players that are already here and add depth to the talent that we already have."

Riley Tetreault, Midfield, 5-5, Evans, Ga., Greenbrier HS
