Men’s Hoops Heads to Louisiana-Lafayette Thursday

LAFAYETTE, La. – A tough pair of road games awaits the Troy men's basketball team, beginning with a trip to take on the Ragin' Cajuns of Louisiana-Lafayette at 7:05 p.m. on Thursday night in the CajunDome.

Troy (9-15, 4-8 SBC) took down top-seeded Georgia State on Saturday night on ESPN2, 85-81. Jeff Mullahey had a tremendous game, scoring a career-high 27 points. Tevin Calhoun was strong as well, picking up a double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds.

The Trojans are led by Hunter Williams at 12.7 points per game. Antoine Myers is second on the team in scoring at 11.8 points per game, while Kevin Thomas is leading the squad in rebounding at 7.4 boards per contest.

Louisiana-Lafayette (17-9, 8-5 SBC) enters the game having won five straight, including an 85-67 win over Arkansas State on Saturday. The Ragin' Cajuns are led by Elfrid Payton at 19.9 points per game. Shawn Long is right behind at 19.6 points per game and is leading the team with 10.6 boards per contest.

Troy is 5-9 all-time against Louisiana-Lafayette. The Trojans fell to the Ragin' Cajuns, 59-72, at home earlier this season.
