TROY, Ala. – Troy soccer head coach Jason Hamilton announced the addition of Haley Roberson to the Trojan roster on Tuesday. Roberson, a defender from Burke, Virginia, played 12 games for Auburn in 2013 and scored a goal against Florida State. She sat out last season.
Â
A first team all-district selection at James W. Robinson High School, Roberson was ranked in the 2013 National Top 100 by TopDrawerSoccer.com and No. 7 in the Mid-Atlantic Region by ESPN High School.
Â
"We are excited to add Haley to our program," Hamilton said. "She is a player that I saw during her youth career. She is very athletic and brings experience to our team."
Â
Roberson won the 2011 and 2012 Virginia State Championship as a member of the VSA Heat club team. She was also a member of the 2012 US Youth Soccer U17 National Championship team. She also took part in the 2009 U14 National ID Camp.
Â
Roberson will join the Troy program in January.
