Men’s Hoops to Host WKU Saturday

TROY, Ala. – The Troy men's basketball team returns home to Trojan Arena to take on Sun Belt foe Western Kentucky on Saturday at 12 p.m. The game is Troy's first conference home game of the season and will be televised live by the Sun Belt Network.

Troy (5-8, 0-1 SBC), dropped its first conference game of the season on Thursday night at Georgia State, 72-81. Hunter Williams led the way for the Trojans with 18 points on 6-of-9 shooting from beyond the arc. Kevin Thomas pulled in his third double-double of the season with 17 points and 10 rebounds.
Troy is led by Antoine Myers at 12.8 points per game. Thomas and Williams are also scoring in double figures, at 11.6 and 11.1 points per game, respectively. As a team, the Trojans are scoring 66.5 points per game. Troy is 5-0 at home this season.
Western Kentucky (9-5, 1-0 SBC) took down South Alabama in Mobile on Thursday night, 58-56. The Hilltoppers have won four of their last five games.
T.J. Price leads the team in scoring this season at 17.2 points per game. George Fant is averaging 13.8 points and 6.9 rebounds per contest. The Hilltoppers have the stingiest defense in the league, holding their opponents to 64.8 points per game this season.
Troy is 7-10 all-time against Western Kentucky. The Trojans dropped both meetings last season.
