LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – A solid team effort helped lead Troy (7-9, 2-2 SBC) past UALR (8-8, 3-1 SBC), 75-62, on the road on Saturday. Four Trojans scored in double-figures as Troy moved back to .500 in Sun Belt play.

"That was a terrific road win," said head coach Phil Cunningham. "It's really interesting when you look at the stats, we shot 37 percent from the field and we won by 13. That doesn't happen a lot. We knew this going in, that our bench had to step up, and they did."

Troy ballooned its lead to double-figures early in the second half behind some hot shooting from deep and never looked back. Troy was dominant on the glass, outrebounding UALR 46-33, including 15 offensive boards.

Jeff Mullahey led the way for Troy with 17 points, nine rebounds and four assists. Tevin Calhoun followed up his incredible performance on Thursday night with 17 points of his own. JC Bonny and Wes Hinton both scored in double-figures off the bench, with 11 and 10 points, respectively.

Troy cooled off a bit from the last game, shooting 37.7 percent (20-of-53) from the field and 43.5 percent (10-of-23) from deep. Troy protected the ball well, committing just nine turnovers.

The Trojans took a 35-28 lead into the break after a back-and-forth half that saw two ties and nine lead changes.

Troy returns home to face ULM and Louisiana-Lafayette on Thursday and Saturday night. Both games are scheduled to tip-off at 7:30 p.m. in Trojan Arena.
