Soccer Announces 2013 Schedule

TROY, Ala. – The Troy soccer team and head coach Chris Bentley released the 2013 schedule on Friday. The Trojans host eight home games, including the 2013 Trojan Classic.
The season begins with two exhibition games, at home against AUM and the University of Mobile on Thursday, August 15, and Sunday, August 18, respectively. The regular season begins on the road just five days later at Alabama State.
Troy's first home games will be the 2013 Trojan Classic. The Trojans will match up against Louisiana Tech on Friday, August 30, and Jackson State on Sunday, September 1. South Alabama will be the fourth team in the classic.
Following a trio of road games at in-state opponents UAB, Auburn and Jacksonville State, the Trojans return home on Sunday, September 15, to face Murray State. Troy's final non-conference home game is against Gardner-Webb on Friday, September 20.
Sun Belt Conference action begins on Sunday, September 29, at home against new foe Texas State. The Trojans also host Arkansas State, South Alabama and ULM, before closing out the season on the road at Louisiana-Lafayette on Sunday, October 27.
Troy finished 2012 at 9-10-2, including a berth in the Sun Belt Conference Championship. The Trojans return several key members from a season ago and are looking to make a push for the top of the league in 2013.
