SKILLMAN, N.J. - The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) released its final 2013 rankings on Wednesday with the Troy women's tennis team finishing the season ranked seventh in the ITA's Southern Region.
The Trojans finished the season 17-6 overall with a 12-match winning streak during the season that was the nation's third longest active streak at the time it was snapped.
Troy posted a 5-1 mark in Sun Belt play and earned the No.3 seed in the 12-team Sun Belt Championships.
The Trojans No.7 Southern Region ranking comes in a tough region that includes teams from Alabama, Louisiana and Mississippi. Troy finished behind five SEC teams (Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Mississippi State and Ole Miss) and Tulane.
Troy was one of four Sun Belt teams to finish ranked. Georgia State finished seventh in the Southeast Region, North Texas finished eighth in the Texas Region and ULM finished ninth in the Southern Region.
