Men’s Track and Field Finishes Season Regionally Ranked

TROY, Ala. – The Troy University men's track and field team finished the 2013 outdoor season ranked 15th in the South Region. Several Trojans had breakout years, while others closed out their collegiate careers in style.
Nicolo Bolla represented the Trojans at the 2013 NCAA Championships in Eugene, Ore., placing 15th in the hammer throw and earning second team All-America status. Bolla set both the school and Sun Belt Conference record in the event during the season, going on to finish second at the SBC Championships.
Six Trojans earned spots in the 2013 NCAA First Round in Greensboro, N.C., including Bolla. Neko Freeman made his fourth consecutive trip to the first round, competing in the 100-meter dash. Fellow sprinter Benjamin Martin also competed in the 100-meter dash at the NCAA First Round, after winning the event at the SBC Championships.
Thaddeus Curtis competed in the 110-meter hurdles, Larry Henry took part in the high jump and Jordan Landburg raced in the 400-meters at the NCAA First Round.
Troy reached as high as ninth in the regional rankings to begin the season. The Trojans remained ranked for the entire year. As a team, the Trojans placed seventh at the Sun Belt Conference Championships.
