Trojans Host Big Brothers/Big Sisters

TROY, Ala. – The Troy University women's soccer team continues to impress off the pitch in the offseason, after hosting a Big Brothers Big Sisters event on Saturday, April 20, at the Troy Soccer Complex.
“It is great how the Trojans are involved in the community, teaching young kids the skill they love, which is soccer,” said Artez Jones, a senior at Troy University who also volunteers for the Big Brothers Big Sisters Organization. “It is also great how the team has shown humility by going out of their way and making time in their busy schedules to help. In the future I hope other athletes can see this and adopt the same philosophy.”
Several student-athletes took part in the event, spending time and playing soccer with children from the Troy community.
The Trojans have had a busy spring, participating in several community events while also focusing on training for the fast approaching 2013 season.
