TROY, Ala. – The Troy University soccer team was out in the community this week, teaching physical education at Troy Elementary School. Several players made the short trip on Wednesday and Thursday to teach the morning sessions.
“It's really amazing to see our team use its platform in such a positive way,” said head coach Chris Bentley. “This is just one of many selfless acts they are a part of, and our staff could not be more proud of their efforts.”
The Trojans brought their soccer skills to the class and coached the kids on staying healthy and the benefits of physical activity.
The team is no stranger to giving back, as several members have spent the off-season tutoring local youths in partnership with the Troy public library.
