“A star basketball player at Woodstock, Makensie will be able to specialize a little more as she moves to the next level,” cross country and distance coach Jeff Jenkins said. “With her intelligent edge, I expect Makensie to be a potential cross country runner for us and to make an immediate splash as a 1500/3k steeple specialist.”

Bokenfohr will join the Trojans after a successful prep career at Enterprise High School. She was the co-captain of her squad and was a qualifier for the USATF Cross Country Junior Olympics. A five-time all-state selection in cross country, Bokenfohr holds her school record in the 5k as well as being part of the school record holding 4x800 team.
“Kat is someone who is used to winning,” said Jenkins. “It's great to get the local talent from our backyard that seems to be running on natural ability. I believe she will thrive in the environment at Troy University and prove to be a solid addition to our women's roster.”

“Corina is a great get for our program,” said throwing coach Shawn Williams. “Not only is she one of the top-ranked discus throwers in the nation, but she is just as good in the classroom as a student. With finishing third last summer in the AAU Junior Olympic National Championships she has shown what she can do against the top competition in the country. We can't wait for her to continue her success as a Trojan.”

“Sara is as solid as a rock when it comes to showing up in big races and being consistently reliable,” said Jenkins. “She is a team player that brings a great knowledge of the sport. “Rae came to the sport from cheerleading and has almost no competitive running background,” Jenkins said. “I am very excited to have Rae joining us this fall and to see how she will do after training regularly. She is the type that will thrive in a team environment with top facilities and training. I'm thrilled to be adding the textbook definition of a scholar athlete from in-state.”

Mosley, the FHSAA 3A District 1 XC Champion, was named the Florida Daily Newspaper Runner of the Year, was team MVP three times and the Okaloosa County champion.
“Marsel is one of the top distance runners in our region,” said Jenkins. “She is highly competitive and motivated despite an inactive senior cross country season. I'm watching for Marsel to be an immediate points scorer at Sun Belt in anything from 800-meters to 10,000-meters and a possible all-conference cross country runner for Troy women.”

Parker joins the Trojans after competing at Riverdale High School in Fort Myers, Fla. A three-time team captain, Parker was a strong competitor in cross country.

“As the top distance guy at Matanzas, Cameron has pulled through again and again for his team with several top-five finishes,” said Jenkins. “He is consistent, a natural leader and potentially an immediate top-seven cross country guy with the experience and ability to do well in the steeplechase and longer events.”

“Chris is also a football player turned middle distance runner,” Jenkins said. “He is relatively new to this side of the sport, but has run well in the few times he has raced at the distance. He will be making a big transition this fall to add a little more volume to his training and is a sure fire future points scorer in the middle distance events. It's great to get a guy like Chris from within the state. I'm looking for big things from him.”

“Our football star of the group, Madison has never run cross country and only competed in events longer than 800-meters twice,” said Jenkins. “I've already seen some outstanding qualities in Madison by him trusting his coaches and making tremendous sacrifices for his team. He is willing to run any distance and do whatever is asked of him for the overall success of the team. I am looking to Madison to be a possible varsity cross country runner and a big points scorer for the Trojans next spring.”
