Former Trojan Josh Broadaway Qualifies for PGA Tour’s McGladrey Classic

TROY, Ala. – Former Troy University golfer Josh Broadaway made his second appearance on the PGA Tour when he opened play at the McGladrey Classic on Thursday.
Broadaway, who uses a cross-handed grip, qualified for the event in Sea Island, Ga., after finishing in a tie for third with a round of 68 in a qualifier on Monday.
A veteran of the Web.com Tour, Broadaway graduated from Troy in 2000 and has been on the pro circuit ever since. The Albany, Ga., native tied for 43rd at the 2011 Honda Classic in his PGA Tour debut.
Broadaway will be in the final group out for the second round on Friday. He will be joined by Eric Axley and Seung-Yul Noh and will tee off at noon.
