Trojans Travel to Louisiana for Two Matches

LAFAYETTE, La. – The Troy volleyball team will look to snap a four-match skid this weekend when the Trojans travel to take on Louisiana-Lafayette and ULM. Troy will take on the Ragin' Cajuns at 7 p.m. on Friday before traveling to take on the Warhawks at 2 p.m. on Saturday.

Troy (9-16, 4-7) will be looking to snap a four-match skid that includes three road matches. The streak includes matches at Texas State, UT Arlington and UALR and a home match against Texas State.
Troy has already hosted Louisiana-Lafayette and ULM, sweeping both at Trojan Arena.
The Trojans are led offensively by Blair Winston and Marija Zelenovic who are averaging 3.48 and 3.33 kills/set, respectively, in Sun Belt play. Those averages rank fifth and eight in the league, respectively.
Alexandra Alexander is averaging 10.23 assists/set in Sun Belt play, the third best mark in the conference, while also averaging 3.13 digs/set.
Courtney Cohen's 3.36 digs/set average in league play leads three Trojans that average over 3.00, including Alexander and Ali Dowdall (3.26 d/s).
Louisiana-Lafayette (15-10, 5-6) comes into the weekend just a game ahead of Troy in the standings after losses at Georgia State and South Alabama last weekend. The Ragin' Cajuns, however, are the only team in the league to defeat WKU and they've also defeated UALR on the road, one of just three Sun Belt losses for the Trojans.
ULM (5-22, 1-10) has lost six straight since picking up its lone Sun Belt win over South Alabama. The Warhawks' last five losses have all come in three sets, the first being a three-set loss against Troy.
Troy is 10-0 all-time against ULM, including a 3-0 mark in Monroe. The Trojans are 8-5 all-time against the Ragin' Cajuns, including a 2-2 mark in Lafayette. Troy hasn't traveled to ULM or Louisiana-Lafayette since 2010.
