Williams Named to Preseason All-SBC

Trojans Dominate Victory in Exhibition
NEW ORLEANS, La. – Senior guard Hunter Williams was named to the Preseason All-Sun Belt third team, as announced by the conference office on Wednesday morning.
Williams is Troy's leading returning scorer, after finishing last season at 10.4 points per game. Williams also led the team in assists and made 3-pointers a season ago, ranking near the top in the conference in both categories.
In Troy's exhibition on Tuesday night against Victory University, Williams scored a game-high 23 points and added six assists. He shot 9-of-19 from the field, including 4-of-9 from beyond the arc. The Trojans would go on to beat Victory 105-68.
Williams becomes the first Trojan to earn preseason all-conference honors since Will Weathers made second team All-SBC prior to the 2011-12 season.
The regular season is now just nine days away, as the Trojans open up at Ole Miss on Friday, November 8. Troy will play its home opener on Monday, November 11, at 7:30 p.m., against LaGrange.
