PAWLEY'S ISLAND, S.C. – Senior Sofia Bjorkman (67-75-74-216) carded a final round three-over par 74 to lead the Troy women (301-308-310-919) to a fifth place finish, while sophomore Tolver Dozier (71-69-70-210) fired an under-par score in each of the Golfweek Program Challenge's three rounds to finish third individually and lead the men's team (296-281-289-866) to a third place finish.
Bjorkman continued her consistent play as she recorded the lowest score of any of the Troy women during the tournament. She managed to card even-par on her first six holes before committing a bogey on the seventh. A triple bogey on the ninth sent her to four-over as she made the turn towards the back nine. Three birdies, combined with two bogeys, made way for a three-over par performance, and an overall finish with a three-over par, 216, tied for fourth.
Langley Vannoy (71-78-83-232) finished out the tournament carding her highest score, a 12-over par 83. A string of three consecutive double bogeys on the sixth, seventh and eighth holes sent Vannoy to the back nine at seven-over, before bogeying five more holes to finish the tournament with a 19-over par, 232, tied for 24th.
Sydney Conrad (82-83-76-241) bettered Monday's performance by shooting a five-over par 76 in Tuesday's final round. Conrad's score dipped as low as one-under, but a total of three bogeys on the front nine and four on the back made for a five-over par finish, which improved her tournament total to a 28-over par, 241, tie for 43rd.
Senior Sara Fennvik (86-74-81-241) and sophomore Taylor McGraw (81-81-79-241) had nearly matching scores in the final round, and matched up with Conrad to also finish tied for 43rd at 28-over. Fennvik shot over-par on over a third of the 18 holes to finish round three with a 10-over par, 81. McGraw shot even par on six of her first eight holes, but a total of six holes over-par made for an eight-over par, 79 in the final round.
After starting the tournament in 10th place as a team, the men clawed their way back to a fourth place standing after day two, before managing a team score of 289 in Tuesday's final round to finish third, just four strokes off the lead.
Dozier continued his consistent play at the True Blue Plantation as he finished the tournament in third individually with a six-under par performance to lead the way for the Troy men's team.
The Dothan, Ala. native, who most recently spent part of his summer playing in the U.S. Amateur Open Championship, birdied three of his first nine holes and dropped just one bogey in the final 18 holes to finish with a two-under par 70.
Jacob Harper (75-68-71-214), in just his first collegiate golf tournament, finished the day at one-under, rebounding from a first round three-over par performance. Harper fired off four birdies on the front nine, before negating those with three bogeys on the back nine to finish the tournament at two-under in a tie for ninth.
Jake Tucker (74-72-73-219) managed to shoot just a one-over par in Tuesday's final round to finish the tournament tied for 23rd at three-over. Tucker entered the ninth hole at even par, but a double bogey dropped him to two-over heading into the back nine. Two birdies and a bogey made for a one-over par finish on the day, and the third highest finish of any Trojan.
After having his scored dropped in each of the first two rounds, due to them being the lowest of the five member team, Wil Clowdus (77-73-75-225) rebounded on day three to fire a three-over par, 75 to finish the tournament 43rd at nine-over. Clowdus birdied holes four, eight and 10, but bogeys on four other holes, to go along with a double bogey on the 18th, made for a three-over par finish.
Just a day after firing an even-par 72, Phillip Brennan (76-72-82-230) carded two double bogeys and two four-over par holes to finish the day at 10-over, and the tournament tied for 49th at 14-over.
Campbell (286-288-286-860) managed to shoot just eight-over par throughout the tournament to claim the women's championship by 40 strokes over second place Central Arkansas (304-298-298-900).
On the men's side, Central Arkansas (292-286-284-862) used a four-under par performance on day three to claim the men's championship, by just two strokes over Jacksonville State (290-284-290-864), and four strokes over Troy.
To determine a 2012 Golfweek Program Challenge overall champion, the men's and women's final scores were combined. Campbell took top honors as the women's program claimed their title by 40 strokes and the men placed eighth, 16 strokes off the lead.
The men will enjoy a little over a month's break before returning to the course when they travel to Bowling Green, Ky. on Oct. 14 to compete in the WKU Invitational held at the Club at Olde Stone.
The women will have a little over a week off before heading to Monroe, La. on Sept. 24 to compete in the ULM Fred Marx Invitational, a tournament title they won last season.

She managed to card even-par on her first six holes before committing a bogey on the seventh. A triple bogey on the ninth sent her to four-over as she made the turn towards the back nine.
