Trojans Qualify for Finals on Day 2 of the Sun Belt Conference Championships

FULL RESULTS
LAFAYETTE, La. – The Troy track & field team finished day two of the Sun Belt Conference Championships with many qualifying for finals.
Neko Freeman placed first in the men's 100-meters to qualify for finals with a time of 10.46. Freeman also qualified for the 200-meters placing eighth with a time of 21.50.
Phillip Pritchett and Payton McGhee also qualified in the men's 100 meters. Pritchett placed third with a time of 10.51, and McGhee placed seventh with a time of 10.53. McGhee qualified for the 200-meters placing fifth with a time of 21.23.
Ja-Courtney Alexander placed fourth in the women's 200-meters with a time of 24.76 to qualify for finals. Alexander also placed eighth in the 400-meters with a time of 56.02 to qualify for finals. Candice Vaughn will also be competing in the finals for the 400-meters after placing seventh with a time of 55.89.
Freshman Mychea Williams qualified for finals in the 100-meters placing eighth with a time of 12.11. Jasmine Patton qualified for finals in the 100-meter hurdles placing seventh with a time of 14.10.
Kemper Morton qualified for the men's 800-meters placing fourth with a time of 1:54.84. Thaddeus Curtis qualified for the men's 110-meter hurdles placing fourth with a time of 14.14.
The Trojans will compete in final competition of the Sun Belt Championships. Full results will be available on troytrojans.com following the meet.
