Trojans Take Victories at the War Eagle Invitational

AUBURN, Ala. – The Troy track & field team had first place finishes and multiple personal bests set at the War Eagle Invitational at Auburn University.
Nicolo' Bolla broke his own school record for the third time placing first in the men's hammer throw with a distance of 61.11 meters.
Martins Pildavs placed first in the men's javelin with a distance of 67.11 meters. Pildavs ranks fourth in the NCAA Division I Outdoor Qualifier List.
Morgan Paulson placed first in the women's 5000-meters with a time of 18:42.15
“We competed against some elite athletes today,” head coach Jill Lancaster said. “We are transitioning well towards the end of the season, and making strides to gain recognition in many areas.”
Eddie Lynn broke his own school record in the men's discus throw placing second with distance of 51.33 meters.
Thaddeus Curtis moves to fifth all-time at Troy in the men's 110-meter hurdles placing fifth with a time of 14.51. Curtis also placed tenth in the men's 400-meter hurdles with a time of 54.60.
Erin Walker placed third in the women's discus throw with a distance of 44.43 meters.
The men's 4x100 team and the men's 4x400 team both placed third. The 4x100 tem had a time of 41.76, and the 4x400 team had a time of 3:20.77.
The women's 4x100 team placed sixth with a time of 46.22, and the women's 4x400 team placed eighth with time of 3:51.85.
In the men's 5000-meter Invitational, Enock Kirui placed 12th with a time of 15:07.26
Delonte Martistee placed seventh in the men's triple jump with a distance of 14.29 meters. Larry Henry placed seventh in the men's high jump with a distance of 2.02 meters. Chaun Lynn placed 10th in the men's long jump with a distance 6.76 meters.
Payton McGhee placed 12th in the men's 200-meter dash with a time of 21.45. Kemper Morton placed ninth in the men's 800-meters with a time of 1:53.22.
Ja-Courtney Alexander placed eighth in the women's 400-meter dash with a time of 54.96. Jasmine Patton placed 13th in the women's 100-meter hurdles preliminaries with a time of 14.17.
“Many athletes showed they are ready for Coach “O” and conference,” Lancaster said.
The Trojans will be hosting the Coach “O” Invitational Saturday, April 28 at the Jesse H. Colley Track/Soccer Stadium. Full results will be available on troytrojans.com.
