ITA Doubles Rankings
TROY, Ala. – The Troy women's tennis team got some good news on Tuesday as the ITA released its sixth set of doubles rankings of the spring. Troy's number one doubles team of Karoline Grymel and Lyubov Dorofeeva found themselves in the rankings, which rank the Top 90 doubles duos in the entire nation.
The duo has posted an 11-2 record over the spring, including wins in eight straight matches as the Trojans as a team have won seven straight matches. Grymel and Dorofeeva have not lost since March 6.
That loss came against Austin Peay, the duo's only other loss came to Sofie Oyen and Allie Will of Florida back on January 25. At the time the Gator's duo was ranked 10th in the nation, they have since moved to number one.
Grymel and Dorofeeva, who debut at No.89 in the rankings, are the only Sun Belt pairing ranked among the nation's elite.
Grymel, Dorofeeva and the Trojans have a big week ahead of them, beginning with a match at Samford on Wednesday. The Trojans return home to host Middle Tennessee on Friday and North Texas on Sunday.
All three matches are critical as the Trojan look for a top four seed and a bye in next week's Sun Belt Conference Championships being held in Denton, Texas.
