Collins wasted no time putting the Trojans in the lead with his second triple of the season to score Hannah and Pierce in the first inning. Collins added a sacrifice fly later in the frame.
Troy continued its barrage of two-run innings in the fourth as Harrell tattooed a 1-2 offering from Cody Ponder quickly out of the park in left field. Nixon added an RBI single later in the frame to score Clay Holcomb who singled and stole second.
The lead swelled to 9-3 in the fifth on an RBI single by Harrell and one of four Jacksonville State errors in the game allowed another run to score. Pierce lined a double to right-center in the sixth and Boone Shear, who drove in two runs in the game, added a sacrifice fly.
Pierce and Collins delivered RBIs in the seventh inning while Hannah and Pierce drove in a run each with two outs in the eighth.
Jacksonville State scored a run in the eighth as Kyle Bluestein hit a lead-off homer and then added three more in the ninth, two of which were unearned.

The Trojans will look to carry some momentum into from tonight's victory into its Sun Belt Conference series this weekend against Middle Tennessee at Riddle-Pace Field.
