Trojans Set Personal Bests on Day 1 at the Georgia Relays

ATHENS, Ga. – The Troy track & field team finished day one at the Georgia Relays with multiple personal bests and school all-time records set.
Jasmine Patton placed 2nd in the 100-meter hurdles setting a personal best with a time of 14.10 seconds. This moves her to 5th all-time at Troy.
In the women's hammer, Karen Wyatt and Nicole Studstill placed 2nd and 3rd, respectively, both setting personal bests. Wyatt had a distance of 48.51 meters, moving her to 5th all-time at Troy. Studstill had a distance of 48.04 meters, moving her to 6th all-time at Troy.
Delonte Martistee placed 3rd in the men's triple jump with a distance of 14.88 meters to improve his junior national qualifying mark and moved to 8th all-time at Troy.
In the sprint medley, Troy 'A' placed 2nd with a time of 3:27.14 to move them to 7th all time at Troy. The team consisted of Neko Freeman, Phillip Pritchett, Chris Upshaw and Kemper Morton.
Breanna Sanner placed 7th in the women's triple jump setting a personal bests with a distance of 11.90 meters. This moves her to 4th all-time at Troy.
In the men's 10,000 meters, Enock Kirui placed 3rd with a time of 32:36.59 and Alec Hamm placed 5th with a time of 34:02.95.
Thaddeus Curtis placed 8th in the men's 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.06, and Brandon Norwood placed 10th with a time of 15.43
Christina Barrett set a personal best in the 100-meter hurdles placing 8th with a time of 14.79.
“We had another strong day with numerous personal bests achieved,” Coach Jill Lancaster said. “Performances showed on the track and field events showed great efforts and made our staff proud.”
The Trojans will continue action at the Georgia Relays tomorrow beginning at 10:00 a.m. with the men's javelin. Complete results will be available on troytrojans.com.
