Troy soccer releases 2012 recruiting class.
Troy, Ala. – The Troy soccer team has released its 2012 recruiting class with 10 new names joining the squad in the fall.
With Troy losing only two seniors from last season's team and with its top three leading scorer's all set to return for next season, the 2012 class is projected to strengthen the Trojans even more.
“We feel very strongly that this class is filled with quality,” head coach Chris Bentley said. “Quality not only in their play, but also in everything they do. We could not be more excited for the future of Troy soccer.”
The new class brings strength especially in the defense as Troy will welcome four new defenders: Katie Cersley, Peyton Donley, Meagen Edwards and Kirsten Rendall. Katelyn Comeno-Lewis will join the team in the goalkeeper position.
Troy will also bring in five new faces in the midfield and forward positions with Brooke Bortles, Louise Cheng, Jasmine Paige Fahrnbauer, Emily Joanne Sleeman and Lindsey Anne Williams.
