TROY, Ala. – The Troy men's golf team will look to close out its fall season on a strong note on Monday as they open play at the inaugural ASU Fall Beach Classic hosted by Arkansas State University.
The event will be the fourth and final one in the Trojans fall season. The two-day tournament will begin with a shotgun start at 7:30 a.m. Monday morning, and the second will follow immediately after. The final round will begin at the Peninsula Golf and Racquet Club in Gulf Shores, Ala. at 8 a.m. Tuesday morning.
The Trojans are coming off a sixth place finish at the Pinetree Invitational, an event they rebounded in after finishing last at the previous event at Western Kentucky. His best finish of the season, a tie for ninth, was also recorded at the Challenge. He enters Monday's action with a 77.44 scoring average over nine rounds.
Of the four individuals who have competed in each of the three tournaments, Jake Tucker holds the second-best scoring average with a 76.67, just a little over a point behind Dozier. Tucker's lowest round holds at a 72, as he has carded two finishes of tied for 23rd and a tie for 24th.
