Freeman Named All-Academic American

TROY, Ala. — Troy University men's track and field's To'Neko Freeman has been named an all-academic track and field individual by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) for the 2010-11 season.
Freeman, a sports and fitness management major, is one of 420 Division I athletes to qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Track and Field Team. To earn such accolades, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.25, finished the regular season ranked in the national top 96 in an individual event or ranked in the national top 48 (collective listing) in a relay event on the official NCAA POP list provided by TFRRS.org in the indoor season and participated in the NCAA Division I Championships in the outdoor season.
Freeman competed in the 4x100-meter relay and the 100-meters. He is a two-time NCAA qualifier first round as a freshman and sophomore. He is also a member of the 3.0 Troy University Recognition Club and a member of the Sun Belt Academic Honor Roll.
