Troy soccer head coach Chris Bentley has been selected to the National ODP coaching staff.
Troy, Ala. – The Troy soccer coaching staff continues to earn national recognition again this year. Head Coach Chris Bentley has been named to the National ODP (Olympic Development Program) coach staff for the second year in a row.
“To be a part of the National ODP camp staff again is a tremendous honor,” Bentley said. “This is a great opportunity to both grow as a coach as well as represent Troy University."
As a National ODP coach, Bentley will begin his coaching duties at the annual USL Super Y-League Olympic Development Program National Camp. The camp is held March 1-4 in Sarasota, Florida at the IMG Academy campus.
The camps feature a select collection of boy and girl players from Super Y-League teams throughout the United States and Canada.
The goal of the Super Y-League ODP National Camp Coach is to provide an opportunity for every player to showcase his or her talent throughout the camp. Coaches will be evaluating and assessing each player under their direct supervision as well as those from other group in an effort to identify a pool of players/goalkeepers for the SYL ODP National Select Team.
