Trojans to Compete in Pentathlon

Troy, Ala. – The Troy track & field team sends three women to the Birmingham Invitational and Multi Events at the Birmingham CrossPlex.
Juniors Jasmine Patton and Veronica Bryant and sophomore Adria Hill will all be competing in the indoor pentathlon. The pentathlon includes the 60-meter hurdles, high jump, shot put and the long jump.
“These women should produce quality marks today,” said coach Jill Lancaster. “Their experience will help them in the pentathlon.”
Patton placed fourth in the women's 55-meter hurdles at the Blue Raider Invitational this past weekend with a time of 8.62 seconds. She also placed fourteenth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 27.95 seconds.
Bryant ran as the third leg in the women's 4x440 yard relay team that placed second with a time of 4:04.74. Bryant placed sixth in the 55-meter hurdles with a time of 9.02 seconds.
Hill placed fifth in the women's 55-meter hurdles with a time of 8.66 seconds. She placed sixth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 26.10 seconds.
